Actors to work in our Neighborhhood Touring

We are looking for students with theater experience, as well as any who are motivated and want to gain theater experience, to audition for our theatre troupes. Cast membership will provide them with the invaluable experience of participating in the development of educational theater productions.

Opportunities will include; development of skills related to performance, create improvisational theater scripts, creatively adjusting to various performing spaces, playing to a variety of university groups, and working on a theater piece whose message is crucial and timely. The troupe rehearses and develops once a week for 2 hours to bring forth a polished presentation. The troupe plans to offer one program per week to the schools and organizations who serve children and youth ages 3-18.

There are also ways to get involved that do not involve acting. Students interested in doing script writing or publicity are more than welcome to help out. Script writing entails editing and updating current scripts while creating new, progressive scripts to cover a wide range of topics. Publicity is also an important domain that requires advertising to interested parties and individuals looking to get involved directly with the troupe.

Individuals interested in working on the organizational/production of the troupe, directing or script writing, or are interested in auditioning for the troupes, should contact PPVAC, at 713-566-1321 or 214-606-7982.
